How far are you from Hwy 22?
I can see 22 from my bedroom but have to make a 5 minute drive to get to the place I can see from my bedroom.
ETA: Some of the homes in Waterfront are down a long, long road...

How bad is your flood insurance?
My home is 6' above base flood elevation, I pay $350 a year for max coverage. If I ever flood, South Louisiana is going to be in really bad shape.

Hey Wick this is off topic but have you ever been to the Moonlight Inn? I pass it by all the time but can't figure out how they stay open. But my parents say it was the place to be back in the 80's.

Moonlight was the Bar's Nest in the Dukes of Hazzard movie. I think they closed due to underage drinking a couple of years ago and the bar in Part Vincent moved there. Never been in the place.

Moonlight in was the spot in the mid-late 80's, especially if you were 16 and looking to get some drinks. They would sell to almost anyone. They did get shutdown for a bit, and not sure how it is now. Been about 25yrs since I been there.

Moonlight and Graces were a right of passage for AP high schoolers. Both were still pretty packed on Friday and Saturday nights in the mid-2000s, mainly for the reasons Moonlight got shut down. I don't know if either have bands that play at them anymore.

You won't be able to afford a camp on lake St. John or Concordia.
