Local gun shop has a “special” on a Kahr .45 acp. Deal or no deal?

Never owned one myself, but have shot a few different ones. One guy had trouble with a little 9, but a smith polished up the ramp and he said after that it performed flawlessly for thousands of rounds. All the other guys that have them love them for a small carry piece. Now that the Ruger LCP and LC9, XDs, and several other single stack compact 9mms are out, I don't see them as much.

My carry is a CW9. I love it.

they're fine guns. dont let the initial stiffness alarm you - they require more break-in than any factory handgun. At least 400 rounds

I've shot one a few times several year ago. Gun seemed to shoot and feel fine, but I wasn't a big fan of the trigger. It was really smooth, but a really long pull if I remember correctly.

I'm not a fan of DA only triggers, but that's a personal preference.

Well. It is DAO.

I have the CM9. Bought a grip sleeve for it that really helps the feel of the gun.

I've shot Bapple's Kahr. It's a CM9 I think. Trigger is strange to get used to but it's a super controllable gun. Really accurate too. I would say to get one.

I own a CM9 and a CW380. Very compact with a long, but smooth trigger pull. Very reliable.

Personally, I think that Kahr does that sort of gun better than almost anyone - certainly for the price.

They're essentially the Glock of subcompact, pocket guns.
