He's at USC right now I think

Damn good guy. One of the very few that really gave his all even though he was twice the athlete as everyone else.

Man I miss highschool. I didn't realize the caliber of player I was hitting every day at practice

I was a pretty good athlete considering I was way smaller than everybody else.

I was a pole vaulter and not a football player. I really enjoyed it though. I got to line up against some damn good football players while I was there. There just isn't a place on the field for a 5'6 white guy who could run pretty fast and hit hard but couldn't catch a ball to save his life.

It was so easy man. I graduated with a 4.2 and had the time of my life when I was there. I was making plenty money, having lots of fun, and just enjoying life. No stress at all.

At the time I thought it wasn't all that great but I should have lived it up while I had the chance.

Baseball and track were at the same time.

No way in hell I was missing track season for anything. Pole vaulting was my shite.

What kept me down in pole vaulting was my height. If I had been 6' tall I would have been an animal. I had great form but I was just too damn short. We had the USA Olympic jumps coach coaching us. After I scratched out at my last meet he shoot my hand and told me "man, you really did the absolute best you could do with what God gave you"

It was kinda like a "dude you gave it hell, but you're just doomed to suck at everything athletic" kinda speech
