Whats the best way to look for a duck lease

I am a member of a lease for 2012-13 but want to look elsewhere next year. Whats the best way of looking for lease?

I really would love some timber to hunt, but that don't happen in the SE. I would love to travel to hunt but would love a camp. I would even join a club if the oppurtunity presented itself. I am pretty open. I've been hunting marsh for the past 16 yrs.

I know at least 5 groups that lost leases... like this.
actually guys that out bid us.. just drove around a LOT,looked and listened... then rode around mid week on atvs looking closer....
I ran into them a couple of times... ran em off politely.
then when they ran into one of our guys.....and they thought they were on Joe Smith's property.. our guy said.. NO this is John Doe's property.. boom.. they got the ball rolling and out bid our group by an obscene amount.
but a friend of mine had a pretty sweet lease in SW la that was owned by a trust in delaware....... and... posting pics on SDH and the refuge.... some folks got just enough info to run down the company and the price of his lease went up.. but ten fold....

Had something similar happen in SW la, Dr we brought ended up working on the old man that owned it. They offered him much more, we didn't even get a chance to match the price. The irony was they called us back to come hunt with them to show them how we were killing all those birds. I had to give them
