Aren't thos rzr's pretty expensive? Wouldn't a go cart serve the same purpose and be cheaper?

Yes and yes. But I think the rzr will outlast a go kart. Ours is 6-7 years old and still going strong.
And it will do fine in the woods. Just not really high clearance for stumps and water. But very strong. No clue how expensive. FIL got it for Christmas one year.

Wait til your kid is older and get him a real ATV.
I'm riding a 99 Honda Foreman 300. My boy is 9 and I suspect he'll end up in it soon when I upgrade. I expect we'll still be riding that thing when it is 20 years old.

I have the 500 that they drive with me on behind them, but I was wanting something that I could just dump gas in and not have to worry about charging for 12 hours before they get to ride it.

That about what I paid for my 500 Suzuki back in 07. Besides they're too little for that 170 sxs right now.

Yeah I didnt realize they were that expensive. You can get a Mid Size 500 ranger for 2k more.

to the OP, E-Ton makes good bikes for a little less than the big 4.

I forgot about e-ton, back when I used to get dirt wheels magazine they'd do a review on them every now and then. Pretty solid little machines for the price if I remember correctly. There's a minibikes plus store here in Shreveport that sells a lot of the knock off crap and I think e-ton. My wifes uncle bought a knock off Rhino and it's held up pretty good. I'll get by there one day and look at some stuff.

Local shop sells the Rzr 100 for $2700. I checked price on it last month.

Damn thats a nice price. I just pulled that 5k from google, thought it sounded a little high.

That's over a $1000 back of cost, has to be used or a Demo. Polaris does have the best kids products though. For a 7&5 year old the RZR 170 might a bit oo much but the Outlaw or Sportsman 90 are both great bikes.

I just double checked with them and my info was wrong. It is a 150cc RZR clone made by Pitster / Ice Bear for $2799.
Looks so much like a Polaris I misidentified it as a true RZR.

My first bike that was truely mine. I loved that thing. I wish I wouldn't have sold it. I was 11 or 12 when I got that though. I wouldn't trust my evil minded, mean spirited 5 year old on a 250.
I was wanting to stay away from the knock offs because my uncle bought one for my cousins one year for christmas and from day one it never ran right. He had to practically rebuild it completely and that didn't solve the problem all the way.
