I have a similar weed in my yard. I put anything you can Imagine on it and that shite won't die. I finally decided to put concentrated round up on it to kill it and next I'll dig it up.

Called goose grass here. Have to spray it about 3 or 4 times with round up to kill it and then dig it up.

Yeah I got a weed weasel for that stuff....works great...I backfill with a bermuda seed blend that is with dehydrated dirt (don't over fill or it'll mound up). Bermuda comes back great in that area.

Try baking soda in the middle of the weed.....don't sprinkle it around it, just in the middle of it

My mom has the same type of weed all over her back yard.
It looks like its where the water was during the august flood. She just bought the house. What would happen if I got one of those big torches and just burned all of them?
Was thinking of doing that then using a rake to remove it all and smooth the dirt and just re-sod that area.

I tried some baking soda on what looks like the same weed a couple years ago

Turned it black within a day or two but it always came back.

Never had the patience to dig it up

Tried round up. Killed them for a few months, then the dallisgrass plus cocoa grass came right back up in the dead spots....and I had dead spots for months.

This year I've been using one of those garden weasel tillers after it rains to dig them up. I've seen roots that are 10-12" sometimes. Have a dirt spot for a few weeks, then the centipede creeps back and fills it in. Also, when I mow the yard I pull up seed heads and throw them in the garbage beforehand. It really doesn't matter when every neighbor around me has the same weeds and do nothing to try to control them.
