Acad has some brand new Lew's rods that would be perfect for what I do. I just don't need anything right now. The Mitchell reels are buttery smooth though.

I saw those. I just went with the reel only because I needed to replace my old one and the falcon rod I have is hard to beat.

My two Falcon HDs are pretty much perfect. I would like one a little longer though for under cork.

$20 Shakespeare ultralite spinning combos from walmarks have always been my go to for bream/ crappie. The reels aren't the greatest, but the rods actually feel quite nice.
