seems like 4% for hunting would be a little low. means that like 1 out of every 20 guns is bought for hunting

I agree, but this site is pretty cool. Saw it advertised in Shotgun News yesterday.

I'm actually looking at getting one of those. Where did you get yours? And how much if you don't mind me asking.

This is going to be my next purchase. I am waiting for the Gun Show to come back near me, so I can handle a few and pick the one I want.

I actually got it as a B-Day gift. It was purchased at Fits in Slidell for $99. Cabelas has them as well, but they are $150 there. A gun show is a good option as well. I wasn't able to pick it because it was a gift, but it's in good to excellent condition. It only has one nick in the stock. I'll post pictures tonight. I probably going to pick another one that is really cheap and modernize it.

2 reason....hunting and it was cheap.

$400.00 for a Winchester Model 70 300 win mag...got a what I think is a good deal. It has a scope on it (2.5 x 10 x 50 Simmons) but the scope is turrible. Gonna put a Nikon on it sometime this summer.

Home protection. Anybody breaking into my house will have an 8" hole blasted through him, and another to the head just in case.

My reason is lots of good mil surplus guns out there for very cheap prices. I just ordered 2 - CZ 82 pistols for less than $200 ea.

You can look on www.cdnninvestments.com and they show them in various grades starting at $149 plus $10 shipping. Then you must go thru an FFL holder who usually charge $25-30 per pistol

You just answered a question I have had for a while because I've been considering getting an older WW2 rifle off line.

FYI... If your a member of the CMP you don't have to go through an FFL dealer. This would be for old American Rifles (i.e. M-1 Garand, etc,)
