Hell no. Don't invite him to the AR board. Maybe the AK board but definitely not the AR board.

Dude, let me level with you. There are literally 10+ threads on ARs that have been started since Friday. I gave you a decent response in your other thread, but I guess it got deleted too soon. First of all, stop calling it an assault rifle. Secondly, (to repeat my previous statement) both are great guns, just completely different platforms. Apples to oranges.

Ask away, just try to find another thread that Is already started and for God's sake, don't call it an Assault Rifle.

yea because it dont make much sense to go to an outdoor board where every other post is about guns and ask a gun question.
Outdoor =/= tactical/special ops/doomsday prep/AR sex

If you use the term "assault rifle" around here without referring to a select-fire, fully-automatic rifle, you're gonna get pounced on.
The correct term is "rifle" or "carbine."

"carbine."
The real question is...
CarBEAN
CarBINE

A BCM AR wwnt somewhere in the ballpark of 50,000 rounds without a cleaning. Just Slip 2000 EWL. If you don't want an AK, get a good AR.

I say car-Bean.
Fool, you are looking at two mainstream rifles. The AK and the AR, you can go FN-FAL with a DS Arms if you want to take a look at that one.
You are also looking at 3 different rounds. The 5.56, the 7.62 x 39mm and the .308.
There are lots of variables. But get an AR and trickify the shite out of it. Which caliber is the better question.

It doesn't have to be an AR or an AK. I want the durability of an AK and the accuracy of an AR.
A common round like the .223 would probably be the best bet

The FN-FAL or maybe a G3 type weapon might interest you. Depending on what you want to spend, HK will be the closest I would think you could get to having the durability of an AK and accuracy of an AR. I'm not very familiar with HK so I may be barking up the wrong tree. I've always heard quality shite about them though.

Century makes a knock off hk in the C93. 40rd mags and shoots .223.
