Think it would be more of a deterrent?

Who’s gonna enforce it? You going to have green jeans at every location? Every WMA? Hell I’ve been hunting a WMA in north Tangi for a decade and have never seen a game warden.

Isn't that the usual penalty already?

I know a few that got one year off. Some needed 5 or a total ban

For certain violations that’s already the case, if you have a license and leave it in the truck on accident should you lose it for a year? Seems crazy

Screw that noise. It’s already hard enough to hunt the kings animals.

Pretty lame excuse to not have your license these days. I know they aren’t leaving their phone behind.

On another note, there’s a “guide” in Louisiana posting his snow goose hunts in the Louisiana Duck Hunters group on Facebook. He was busted baiting this past season.

Depends on level of violation. I got busted once for not knowing that a particular wma had a permit muzzleloader hunt.

I was squirrel hunting with ni orange. Did I deserve a ticket for not doing due diligence, yep. Not sure that deserves losing hunting privileges for a year

frick that. I was ticketed once for "no orange while hunting." I went after hours look for the deer that a family member shot.

the search party had 0 guns so we obviously were not hunting. Prick needed his quota I guess.

Wouldn't be much of a deterrent in the 'Sip. Law enforcement is not very aggressive when it comes to deer hunting. in fact LE is stretched so thin, I know many folks who haven't bothered with licenses in years. The land owner doesn't need a license, but other hunters do.

On the water is another matter, much easier to patrol and enforce.

Ducks/doves seems to be much easier to enforce also.

Lost mine for a year before.....didn't even slow me down. No 'law' is going to deter someone from hunting or fishing for either the love of the sport or too feed the family. Just the rules of a taxed state trying to make folks comply to their beliefs and rules.

Hell No. I hunt WMA's occasionally and I do everything possible to make sure I am legal. I even print off everything and carry with me in a zip lock. To much "gray areas" for Green Jeans to write a ticket like registering a 4 wheeler.

I have been to quail drive several times to ask who to register my 4 wheeler with and get the deer in headlights look. I don't want to register with state I paid cash for it and have title with me. To many areas for Green Jeans to use his judgement that could ruin it for a year.
