Manta Ray Propel 12 most likely.

Or maybe the Radar 115. I need to go see both.

so standing isn't important to you? I have an Outback that I purchased used, but I'm considering giving it to my son. I actually may take the plunge on a PA12, but am afraid it might be too heavy.

A boat with a motor on it.

Honestly though I'm pretty excited to see what 2017 has to offer, just based on all the new pedal kayaks. The rotomolded, lightweight Slayer 12 Propel and the Jackson Coosa FD have my attention the most though I probably won't end up with either of them this year. Pack and Paddle probably won't even have both of those in yet for their demo day in March but when they do I'd love to check them out.

I rented one for a tournament last month, it was my first experience in a Hobie, and a pedal kayak as well. I loved not paddling and the stability but found with the 12 I almost constantly had to keep a hand on the rudder controls to keep it on course, I've heard that's not as big as an issue with the 14. It was also a total bitch to load it.

I'm hearing the FD might not be available until the summer. That one's got my attention as well. I would have to wait until year 2 for that one though. Just in case of any bugs.

I am completely satisfied with my Native Slayer 14.5, but that new Titan looks pretty badass. So, that.

Or maybe a PA14

Feel Free is coming out with a hybrid pedal/motor, but there's not dealer around here. I really like the specs and layout.

Sucks you can't put a 5hp outboard on the back of that Titan. I have a want for something like a Solo Skiff with a pedal drive in it. Those little skiffs are pretty cool.

I'd rent before buying blindly

How hard is the PA14 to load/unload?

I bet if you were creative you could slap an outboard on that kayak.

No bullshite, I've seen with my own eyes a 17 foot hobie pro angler with a 2.5 and TWO powerpoles.

I know you can get one with a custom transom motor mount. But they say it's for trolling motors.

It really isn't, but I think there would be no problem standing in those.

Pack and Paddle rents the Hobies for $90 a day. They also do 2 or 3 demo days a year where they bring out everything they stock. Or if you can't wait call them up and on Saturdays they will load up whatever you want to demo and meet you somewhere to test them out.
