6.5x55 140 gr Nosler Trophy Grade (Accubond) gets me 3/4" groups at 100 yds.

I originally bought Hornady Superformace 130 gr SSTs for the same rifle and they would not chamber. I will never try Hornady again. I've had trouble with expansion issues in the past with them and just cant trust them anymore after this.

I’ve had problems with hornady as well, but plenty of people swear by them so I don’t argue it too much. I’ve had poor penetration, jacket separation, and fragmentation with leverevoltion and SST’s. The interlocks are supposed to be very good bullets but they’re more old school and idk if I’d use them for a fast caliber like .270 wsm. Pops has had good luck with interlocks in his .308

When it comes to ammo, every gun has it's own likes and dislikes. Having said that, there are always certain bullets that are known for accuracy in a particular caliber. For example, Nosler Ballistic Tips have shot very well in every gun I've personally shot them in. 150 gr SST's shot well in my 308 Win handgun. But when I shot the 130 gr SST in my 270 rifle, I barely kept 8 rounds on a notebook sized sheet of paper at 100 yds. None of my guns have EVER disliked a load as much as that one. I guess I could've tried the bullet w/ a different powder, but instead I just set it aside and never tried it again. I don't have a 270 WSM, but if I did I'd first try the 130-150 gr Nosler AccuBond. It should provide a good combination of accuracy and appropriate expansion. Let us know how it turns out.

I have a stainless steel tikka ctr 308. Its a fine gun. I like to shoot good ol' soft points like hornady 150g interlocks. I'm sure the Remington coreloks would do just as good. I don't think you need any expensive ammo unless you are shooting long range. My range is <150 yards & 99% of what I shoot with them (usually hogs at night) are DRT.

270wsm shooting corelokt 130gr. Most groups are .90"(ish). But then again, I haven't found much it didn't like.

To hell with ballistic tips.

Barnes vortex do well too. Think that's what I'm hunting with this year.

I gave up on Winchester SBT, went to hornady. All copper bullet and it worked wonders. Also had the trigger cleaned to make it nice and smooth.
