Caught 34 bream and couple goggle eye friday and then 28 bream, couple goggle eye and a 2 pound cat on Saturday in Pigeon.
3 gallon bags of whole bream ain't too bad for a day and a half.

A lot on Friday came from my hot tree (20 or so from there). Seems to always hold fish. After that spot went cold it was the same as you, 2 or 3 per tree and very sporatic. Damn I wanna get into a bunch of goggle eye though, the few I got this weekend reminded me how fun they are to catch.

Went to Shell Beach yesterday afternoon in the yak. I was catching specs about every 10-15 minutes. The reds were tearing up the water, but I couldn't get them to bite on plastics. Wish I would have brought some shrimp. I talked to quite a few with coolers full of reds and they were all catching them on market shrimp.

Nice catch. Yep. I can't wait for more predictable weather, not that the weather man could predict correctly anyway.

We found clean water further east, but could never get on a steady bite. We just picked at them all day.

They were hitting on and off for us too. muddy water. We missed alot, they were jumping straight out the water like a tarpon and spitting the dam hook.....
some guys came on the side of us with live bait and were crushing them......

talked to a guy at the launch in a 22 ft frontier that went snapper fishing(dumbass), caught limit. said he ran east then went 10-12 miles out.

I had to work this weekend, but was able to take the yak out for a little while yesterday afternoon to Butte Larose. Was plagued with gear issues (One reel broke on me. Another reel has flourocarbon and is getting changed to mono very soon. frick flouro).

Other than that, I was able to pull in a few sacs and a gigantic bass

Go ahead, laugh. I sure as hell did.

I noticed a lot of bait fish jumping around near grass, so I put a shad colored mini fluke on a beetle spinner. Caught that and a couple of sacs. No bream. Fished bass with a speed craw and senko. No bites on either.

I also forgot to mention that one of my bait casters fell apart. Conveniently as it was over the side of my yak and half of it fell into the water. It was about 4' deep and super grassy and I was moving so I didn't go diving for it. It was the H20 Mettle, so I guess I'll swing by academy and see if i can get a new one. Only problem in just over a year I've had with it.

You did better than me. Took the FS12T out for the first time and launched at the Butte Larose exit yesterday afternoon. I'm not highly familiar with the area so I was pretty much winging it. Saw a good bit of fish moving up against the grass and threw everything I had at them and scratched. Still had a good time though.
