Have a an Echo straight-shaft that's at least 8 or so seasons old and cannot kill it. Stihl is great too from what I've seen.

Anyone have experience with the 4-cycle craftsman. We have a $100 sears gift card to use so that would put if at 100 bucks.

What about a hitachi? They have a seven year warrantee on them. Didn't know they made a weed eater.
