New to TD posting world. Longtime lurker. I recommend buying crappy electric with the ethanol component in today's gas. Destroys small engines. Although depends on how much yard you have and how dependent you are on weed killer. My2cents.

That's what I suggested. When someone says they have a small yard, it is usually pretty small. Don't need to worry about the portability with a tiny yard, so electric should be considered

If it is a little lot your gas will be more separated and stagnant as well.. Electric (especially the new lith/ion brushless) seem to be a grand option

I've used an Echo straight shaft. Ran great, but I can't get used to the straight shaft. Much easier to handle the curved shaft to me.

I ran the echo pas225 for 5 years. Great trimmer. But I went to the 266 power source and it's amazing how much better it get the job done. I clear a lot of shite in the spring around my house and the 266 never slows down. It was nice to be able to use all my attachments. I just wanted more power. Still have my 225. Probably give it to my dad.

I've had an echo weedeater and blower for probably 8-10 years. I've never had them serviced and don't drain fuel or winterize in any way. I'm sure I've ran ethanol through them both. Every spring I crank them up with no problems.

Love my Echo backpack blower. I have the 10 ft gutter attachment as well. There's so much more you can do with a blower besides yard work it's crazy too..

i've got a Ryobi that starts every single time, for 3 years now. I've never had good luck with any weedeater, so i'm happy with it.

I've always wondered how well those things worked. Never heard of anyone owning one
