Waterfowl Hunter Survey Extended to June 30

We had a meeting yesterday, and the survey was extended to June 30.
The last mailings for the randomly-selected survey and post-card portions of the survey just went out this week. We don't intend to present any data summaries until the August Commission meeting, so the survey will stay open until June 30th.
Thanks again to everyone that participated!
To date we have:
383 responses from 2,500 mail-out surveys (15.3%)
195 responses from 2,500 mail-out post-cards (7.8%)
5,216 responses from nearly 25,000 e-mails (20.9%)
972 responses to the open web survey.

I can't say it any other way except that I'm extremely disappointed in the response rates. Louisiana always has lower response rates than other states. MUCH lower than say MO, IL, and MN, where my colleagues response rates are often in the 50-60% range. I'm not asking for a lot of your time, at least I don't think so. But participation does not necessarily mean you are going to get what you want. What it does assure is that you have been heard.
