Water Leak in 2010 F150

I just discovered a major water leak on the passenger side of the vehicle. The rubber floor liners hid most of the symptoms and prevented me from catching it earlier. When I found it this weekend the wire well running the entire length of the truck was full of water and the underlayment pad between the carpet and the firewall is toast. To add insult to injury there were a ton of fire ants underneath the soaked pad.
Apparently the most common cause of the leak is the gasket on the middle tail light above the sliding glass window. I confirmed this is likely the source this am when another storm passed through.
Anybody dealt with this before or have any recommendations on a shop I should bring it to that will fix it right? I called the body shop that has done most of my collision work in the past but they said they only deal with collisions. I talked to another mechanic that comes highly recommended by a couple of people but he has work scheduled 3 weeks out. He did say because of the fact it is water and needs to be handled ASAP he could squeeze me in but it will likely take a week to diagnose and do the work.
He said my best option is to pull the front passenger seat and as much carpet as possible to start it drying now to save time once he receives it.
If I am pulling the seats, carpet and know the ingress point is obviously the gasket on the light how difficult would it be to do myself?

My 2009 leaks from the passenger side of the rear window. I've been contemplating running a bead of silicon across the top of the window where it meets the cab, but I'm not positive it's the source.

Dang, I just noticed my 2010 f150 leaking this weekend too. Both rear corners of my headliners has water stains. I think it's the rubber seals that are in the rear corners of the roof. I laid a good bead of clear RTV along the rubber seals. Hopefully that gets it.

Okay, I wasn't convinced that it was the window, because like you I see it on my headliner.
I need to crawl up in the back and look it over better.

The same thing happened on my 2011. Leaked right at the middle light. I only noticed it after I went through the truck wash and dried the back window. When I got back in I saw where it was dripping down the inside window. Apparently I caught it pretty early and there was no real damage. Ford took care of it for me, but it was still under warranty. They made it sound like it was a rare occurrence.

Probably the gasket on the third brake light on the top middle of the cab.
My 2010 did this. Dealer changed gasket. Seemed to be a rather common issue. There may have even been a recall?
The dealer told me the gasket was improperly installed and was pinched when the brake light cover was tightened down.

I'm pretty certain there was a TSB for this. The dealer should fix it for free.

My 2009 was leaking from the third break light. Take light off and silicone around gasket, no more problem. The ford dealership in thibodaux wanted more than $200.00 to replace light??

My 2009 GMC truck has no leaks.
