A bear makes these guys' hunts more interesting

Just leaving this here for you guys... I think I might stink up my stand if this happened to me.

As they say on the OT, did a search, SIAP, DGAF if Germans. Enjoy!!!

Why should you always bring a handgun in the woods? Because you never know what might happen!

I probably wouldn't have shot the bear but I would've had it ready to go pointed at his face if he tried to paw me or something. Luckily black bears are big pussies compared to other monstrous bear.

Not to sidetrack this post, but what caliber would you think would be the best not counting .44 mag?
A discussion was had this week about it.

I think this is a good minimum for aggressive bear. But I wouldn't put black bear in the aggressive category. I think one shot from any handgun or rifle and they're gonna cower and leave you alone.

Once I have a .357, that will be what I take in the woods. Until then, my 9mms, 40, or 45 will have to do.

This is what I recommended out of the 3 a buddy was thinking about.
Been to his camp once, saw a bear on both rides into the lease.
They see them weekly and they're not afraid, the bears I mean.

.38 is all you need

The part that would've scared me the most would've been the second, bigger one running out of the woods after the smaller one.

wow, I think I would have jumped and hoped the saftey system caught me. He had that tether fully extended. Of course that leave the option of becoming the bears pinata.
