So I'm thinking about getting started turkey hunting. I have a $50 gift card to cabelas. What would it be best spent on for a beginner turkey hunter. What is the best kind of calls for a beginner.

No. Not really into fishing alot. Just mostly take kids to a couple ponds. Don't have a boat.

The single most valuable time that any turkey hunter owns...Thermacell....
Also, face net, net gloves, cushion to sit on, decoy, etc....

I prefer a slate/glass/aluminum call over a box. (And prefer a glass out of those three)

3 things essential to getting started
Quaker Boy box call with ceramic coatings.
Snake boots.
Patience.
