Walther P99QA - Classic but Outdated

Pros:
Tight slide and barrel lockup
Smooth action
Good magazine ejection (when they're empty)
100% reliability
Blue followers in the magazines

Cons:
Plastic sights
Non-recessed dots on sights
Backstraps held in by roll pins
Inner slide rails are small
Feels cheap compared to modern polymers
Mag doesn't drop free when full
Decocker is stupid and pointless
Trigger is heavy and long (with long reset)
Mag capacity low compared to modern offerings

Basically, it's outdated.

Enjoy.

you need to type what you are going to say in the video so I can skim your text to think about watching a bapple video

No offense

List out the pros and cons and people might look more into your videos. Just saying

Most of the time, I read the text describing it in more detail with a video to see if it's even worth spending my time

Done.

No reason to say "no offense" when offering the constructive criticism. Honesty has made my channel better and I am appreciative of people being honest.

True honesty is rare these days. Even from a Bammer...

EDIT: I actually really like your idea. I'm gonna do this for the description of each review video. Thanks again.

Thanks a bunch.

I agree the PPQ is fantastic. One of the best factory triggers out there...

Nice video, but you need to invest in a wife or an iron for those sheets. The wrinkles were completely distracting

I appreciate you guys taking 20 minutes of your time to hear what I have to say.

I do "update" videos on guns that I personally own. The rest I borrow from friends usually. The P99QA belongs to TiddlesMcDiddles.

I have plans to review an M&P Shield next. I have multiple friends that own one so it shouldn't be an issue.

I also have my Bushmaster ACR on the back burner. I need time to run a lot of rounds through it with the new piston spring to check functionality. Once I do that and get some footage I'll review it as well. I much prefer reviewing pistols over long guns though.

I've only shot one that I can remember. A dude at the range let me run a mag through one. It wasn't enough for me to get enough of an opinion though.

I certainly would love to do a review on a loaner.

I usually only borrow them for about a week and I like to plan it around a weekend I am free. That way I can fondle and examine it, shoot it, clean it, and review it in one week.

I'll email you this evening.

But if you planned on sending it, we would most likely (not positive on the law) have to ship it through an FFL which would add cost. But I'm sure we can work out some details.
