I am checking out the Razor HD 12x 50 binos and Ranger 1000 rangefinder

I'm thinking of requesting a pair of Vortex binocs for Christmas.

Looked at their scopes and all the weights they list seem awful heavy compared to others. Not sure if their binos are the same. They have a warranty that can't be beat from what I've read.

I dont own any of their optics at the present moment. However, their products are great and if it werent for the munchkin that was born the other day Id probably replace my Bushnell HDMR with their Gen 2 Razor 3-18x.

The also support the shooting sports, every match I have been to has had a Rep shooting the event as well as having demo optics and they have put their optics on the prize tables. Not just the cheap ones, but the Razor line at several events.

Im looking at one of their monoculars, probably will pick up the Recon.

Wow, strong stuff. Most people are going to have trouble finding what they are looking for with that magnification. Be sure to check out binocs that powerful before buying. I use 10x which is pretty strong, most people prefer 8x.

Vortex makes good binocs for the money. Eagle Optics as well, those would be my two go to manufacturers.

I have decided on the Diamondback 8x42 for my Christmas list. I'm going to hold a pair this week before committing however.

I hear you, and I do love vortex, but all i ask is that if you are looking to buy some new optics at least look through comparable vortex before you buy

I have their Strikefire red dot on my AR and I love it. My QD sling swivel decided to let go on my driveway one time and it dropped right on the Optic. Still works fine, didn't even lose zero. Plus, they have a lifetime warranty. Probably going to put one of their scopes on my .308 after Christmas.
