Hey, I actually bought a driver recently and played golf. I kinda miss POF BTW.

S&W xx06 series?

Came in a number of variants (.45,.40,10mm).

Yes, this is the auto from the 1980's to 1990's. Great pistol too.

Unless you are this guy and rock a 1911....

Well you certainly wouldn't fit in at PoF then

Update/bump- I'm adding a Star 30MI to the stable, to go with my other all-metal 9mms. This brings the total count up to ... a bunch , but the overall price is not that bad.

I felt like it was meant to be; I had already picked up a spare magazine for cheap, and it fits everything I look for; heavy, solid, unique design, extensive use by police/military somewhere (Spain and Peru in this case), and a nice price tag.

It's currently in "delay" status, something I have run into before. But I got a chance to handle it, and I was impressed- the slide action is very smooth, and it brings a lot of heft to the hand. I have a Modelo B Super and was impressed by how smooth the slide is, and it seems like the 30MI has that same slick feel. Has some very comfortable rubber grips, and the slide is inside the frame like the CZ.

Before I get bashed on buying an impractical, can't-carry-because-it's-too-heavy, parts-are-scarce gun, that wasn't my object. It's going into a rotation of similar pistols for mostly range fun (so I won't be shooting it exclusively, and won't be carrying it). I just wanted a different, good pistol.
