Need to vent/exhaust some for tailgating. Anyone got any experience?

I make a living figuring out how to run engines indoors without killing anyone.

Best thing would be to pipe it into a nearby culvert if there's one nearby.

Google Honda generator exhaust extension and look at the images.

Where will you be that you'll need to vent it?

I know a guy that owns two honda 3000's that already have a custom manifold, he might be willing to make you a deal.

Run it up some kind of way to the top of an rv. If you're working it hard the exhaust temp will probably be around 600 degrees so as long as you use something that can handle that you'd probably be ok.

Dryer vent material and foil tape.

They aren't super critical, but you you've got to make the effort.

Downshift, he's outdoors. They just make us run a stack.

I really thought this said ventilated and I was coming in to congratulate someone on managing to ventilate a small generator motor. In this case Downshift is absolutely right.

Either way I'd run it up as high as possible for noise and smell.

Pipe it over to the nearest McNease tailgate.

I'm confused...why do you need to vent the generator? The big built-in generators are done so the CO1 doesn't draft back into the RV because they're mounted right under the front. Im not even sure if you are going to smell the exhaust on a generator that small if it's near your RV. I have EU6500is & I keep it within 15 feet of my RV/tailgate.

Didn't know that. makes sense.

I'd use conduit and make a little rig if this was something I planned to do regularly. Just for tomorrow, I'd get 30' of dryer duct and some duct tape.

They do this b/c of so many generators in one place.

Carbon monoxide falls to ground level. Theory is with so many so close together it could be an issue.

Can't you just carry the generator up the ladder & to the top? Of course put something underneath it so it doesn't get the vinyl too hot. I'm not sure what rules the lot on Donahue by Jordan Hare requires. I'm just down the road in a grassy lot. Lucky they don't have that tight of rules.

Don't forget the gap between the generator tail pipe and the stack
