Breaking tradition and going down to Venice for fall break because of low water on the Bend.

Any recent reports, hot spots, or must have tackle out there?

Will be fishing for mostly bass but not opposed of tearing up the specks and reds if they're there.

Talking about Toledo Bend. We usually go there every year but are switching it up.

The bass ar hitting pretty well right now. Look at he delta duck area, look off dennis pass (so long as you know how to run Pass a Loutre if not DO NOT go there you will end up on a sand bar). I would also look close to the launch grand pass and camp canal. Very productive areas.

A buddy has been in Venice since Thursday and they've ripped the reds everyday. Sorry but I'm not sure of the location.

This time of the year they are usually everywhere. In the spillways, main pass, Baptise, grand pass. When the river drops they move into the river and its passes.

Da Hammer had some good suggestions for bass.

Fished Venice 2 weeks ago...we tore the reds up and the reds are thick everywhere, just find clean water. Also, had some guys tearing up the bass...not sure where but they had a chest full. I don't do bass so no tips but reds are dead shrimp on bottom with sliding egg sinker on 1/2 oz jig head. If u fish the banks with rocks...set on a cork, just go a lil deeper than usual...at least 3ft.
Catch em up and stay safe

My bass tips are places we caught them three days ago hence the reason I posted.

Reds are everywhere river is green if you want reds fish the passes. It would be almost impossible to not catch your limit of reds right now.

The last trip I made where the report came from we released 49 bass, and released about 80 reds.
