How aggressive can you get when putting a value on a boat trailer for registration/tax purposes?

Registration cost are the same, but you can value it at whatever you want..
What are you looking to put a price on? Kinda vague question in OP.

Right, but you have to pay taxes on the trailer based on the value. Therefore, the lower you value it the less taxes you owe. I am trying to put a value on a 2015 skeeter zx225 trailer. Can I say $100?

I did $100 on mine back in May. They have no way of determining a “value” on it. Always go cheap

I bought one back in May. I priced out the boat, motor and trailer all separate. Put down $500 for trailer, no issues.

I think I remember during transfer and sale that the notary public said minimum you could sell trailer for was $500 for taxation purposes. In this case it was a $6000 boat and trailer combo.
