*Update at bottom of first page* DIY insecticide for roaches and spiders?

I have a property in the BR area that I'm sure is infested with roaches. The outside hasn't been touched in a while so I spent the weekend cleaning everything up. While cleaning up around the outside, I came across countless black & brown widows, brown recluses, other spiders that looked mean but I didn't recognize, and on the inside I found some baby roaches.
This was a flooded property and supposedly was rebuilt according to code and sprayed with Boracare during the rebuild. I would've thought the Boracare would have killed off any infestation inside and prevented it in the future but what do I know?
I'm seeing lots of good things about Bifen IT spray and Lambdastar Ultracap 9.7 spray but I am not sure which is better.
What can y'all recommend that will eradicate and prevent future problems but won't stain surfaces and is good with people and pets indoors?

Suspend Polyzone lasts longer

Bifen will work just fine also. The bottles comes with enough to spray repeatedly every few months.

Thank y'all. I ended up going with the Lambdastar stuff. A buddy of mine uses it and told me it's the best stuff he's ever used. I may try Bifen in the future though, once the Lambdastar runs out.

I use Talstar P. Just did my most recent pest control spray at the house last week.

Bifen IT is legit with the nyoguard added for termites

I actually ended up changing my mind about the Lambdastar and cancelled it before it shipped. Went with the much more expensive and less quantity Suspend SC based on the much larger number of high reviews than Lambdastar.
Hope I don't regret that decision. It comes in tomorrow and I'll be spraying the crap out of that house this weekend before and after the Bama game. I'll come back and update this thread with my results.
The reviews are all great so I guess I'm going to be happy with it.

i need to get some wasp killer powder. Walamrt was out.
I have a big big nest inside a gap in the soffat. I keep killing them with wasp spray and suspend etc. but i cant get the nest. they keep coming back after a couple days.
Anyone know the best way to shoot the powder up in the gap?

Lambdastar $40.91 not prime
Suspend SC 39.53 Prime
If you are worried a pint of Suspend last me about a season and I spray regularly. 1 oz per gallon so thats like 16 treatments.

Does Suspend kill mosquitos? I should probably start my own thread. I have a bunch of suspend and love it for indoors. Throw talstar granules along the outside of my house.
But I have a decent amount of construction material from a remodel going on outside that collects pools of water every time it rains. This has led to a mosquito problem in my backyard. I was lazy for a couple weeks and let the pools sit. I’m going to get rid of them all this weekend, but I was wondering if spraying my backyard and everything with suspend will help with the mosquitos?

Okay, well here's a perfect situation where the Lambdastar would work. My buddy who uses it says that the Lambdastar does a fantastic job of killing wasps once they contact any surface that has been treated. Spray the opening and all around it with Lambdastar and after a week or so the nest should be dead. Be ware though that it's not a knockdown agent.

yes it does. I read before that talstar was better outside and suspend inside as well. Then i read that the active ingredients in eat are basically the same thing chemically and do the same things to the bugs. So i use the one i have for outside.
I still use suspend inside because i ready it is pet safe once it dries.

Yea, I'm an idiot. For some reason I was thinking the Lambdastar I originally ordered was $40 for a quart. Didn't realize it was only a pint. Either way, I'm optimistic about my pint of Suspend SC.

but in my experience in south la nothing will kill everything for 30 days.

Does anyone know if the Talstar granules help to prevent hornets from building nests in the ground? In other words, does it sufficiently treat the soil to where they don't want to build a nest in it?
I've never been hit by a hornet but I want to also keep it that way. Every time I cut grass I have nightmare visions of running over a nest.

it should. but you could always spray your grass. I spray my back yard a day before i have people over and it works for regular bugs.

I sprayed Suspend a few weeks ago and haven’t seen a roach since.

Okay, so I mixed the Suspend in my 4-gallon backpack sprayer from Harbor Freight a tad bit stronger than the instructions called for and sprayed the inside and outside.
Outside was sprayed about a foot in either direction of where the eaves meet the bricks and about four feet up from the foundation. As well as all window and door perimeters outward to about two feet.
I sprayed inside in a continuous line all along the entire perimeter of each room along the baseboards and in the wall corners of most rooms. Under sinks, behind toilets, inside closets, etc..
I'm here to say that 5 days later I went back to check on things and although I didn't see anything outside other than a dead beetle, the inside was ROACHMAGEDDON!
I'm not saying the spray didn't work on the outside, it's just hard to tell since it's outside and spiders and such just were no longer there but also weren't dead on the ground that I could tell, either. HOWEVER, the spray worked as good or better than every single review I read said it would.
I counted 52 dead roaches, three dead beetles, two dead crickets, and 1 dead gecko.
This Suspend stuff is amazing. Thank you to everyone who recommended it!
