UF researchers estimate $585M loss from recreational fishing from DW Horizon

Interesting article and I didn’t read the journal article but based on the summary it appears to take in all losses from recreational losses from DW Horizon blowout so not just the lost revenue to the marina owner or charterboat operator but associated costs (e.g., lost revenue from buying groceries for fishing trip, etc). Of course BP disputes the estimate saying they are $500M off but when its published in a peer reviewed article it lends credibility to the article and less to BPs claim. Of course it will all be decided in the courts …. Send money guns and lawyers
