I have an old squaw mounted at my place. Shot it during my sea duck hunt in New Jersey

My wish list is a black duck drake or a solid drake Ruddy duck

As of right now I have 5 birds done by Dave Luke. I've got a pintail, mallard, mottled, can, and a big barred up speck.
The next birds to go on the wall will be a really white headed wigeon, woody, or a redhead.

I'm lacking a Black, a Mottled and a Cinnamon.

Would like to get in on another Mallard/Pin cross, a Brewers and a great storm Widgeon, Eurasian Widgeon anything else unique.

I've pretty much checked all the puddlers and divers save the three above.

Was in a blind where 4 guys folded 2 Mallards and a Mallard/Pintail in one wad all in the first volley. Ducks fell in a cluster, nobody knows who killed what, but I was a guest in the blind with a guest that I'd brought and the other two guys were the owner and his son. Beautiful bird.

Also had a hermaphroditic hen mallard that I lost in a freezer that went out. That would have been pretty cool.

I see them in CENLA a lot. Usually on one of the manmade lakes.

I've shot a greater scaup a few years ago that I should have mounted. His head was entirely purple. Got checked at the launch by a green pants and he said it was the finest one he's ever seen.

I am extremely spoiled in the fact that I can hunt pretty much any day of the week and expect to knock down a pair of woodies and hooded mergansers from the same blind. That being said I have still yet to mount any of them but thats the goal for my Christmas day hunt with my dad and brothers. Other then those I would love to knock down a cinnamon teal, those are some really beautiful birds.

My first mount was a big Canvasback drake I killed on new years eve last year. He came out great. I wouldnt mind filling up my office over the years and want to get:

A pair of woodies
big greenhead
redhead
sprig
anything banded
anything out of the ordinary

These are things I can reasonably expect to kill where I hunt. However, it's been slow so far.

Drake Pintail, Wigeon, Canvasback, or Woody.

All aren't common where I've hunted and I haven't killed many birds in my hunting career.

Also would like to take a mottled drake. Cinnamon teal drake would be nice too.

Hell, anything outside of a ringneck, spoony, or dogris would be pleasant.

what do you do with the gizzards? also, when you clean the gizzards, do you cut off the tendons entirely or just cut out the gritty part in the middle?

Cinnamon Winged Teal drake

I passed on a shot at a cinnamon teal last year in Gueydan. I saw the redhead and thought it was a redhead or canvasback. By the time I realized it was a teal, it was too late.

ETA: I killed a Muscovy Duck on Lake Guerro in Mexico.

Redhead. Beautiful duck.

I could easily shoot 20 per hunt at one of my blinds. Damn things sound like a washing machine when they ball up and swim in pond.

the blue wing teal are beautiful in the spring on their way back up from Mexico. They always stop by right around when we plant rice and they along with the squealers do a number making holes all over the fields... sometimes they become gator bait

Nicely colored Mallard/Pintail hybrid is at the top of my list

I killed a Pintail/Weigon cross and have it mounted at the camp. I have been to Argentina and took back a whitecheeked pintail and a full plumage cinnamon teal. Those are mounted to at the camp.
