When do you see the bucks break from their bachelor groups & summer patterns and transition into their fall patterns?

Typically, what month do acorns start dropping?

TIA

It's been my experience that bucks will leave bachelors groups once their rut hormones start to kick in

Acorns usually begin to drop after first cool front and temperature change

My advice, get in the woods early, pattern the bucks, and know the rut time for your area

Definitely, I've been been scouting since June.

They should start splitting up very soon. Before Oct 1 for sure.

Acorns should be falling before the season opens.

I have actually seen batchelor groups of mature bucks well into October in Cenla.

They usually start splitting up slowly once they shed their velvet.
