texas land grants made me old, back in the 70's!!!
I worked em all, Tallahassee to Laredo, up to Tulsa and back across..

Chancery clerk in Amite Co. is Ronnie Taylor. He can help with mineral rights/leases. Mostly pine trees on Enterprise Rd now but still some decent deer.

If he hasn't been contacted to lease the minerals he probably doesn't own them. As I understand it the oil companies make damn sure they lease all they can from the correct owner of the rights well in advance of drilling a well. Good luck though. You probably need to know if he owns them or not anyway.
