He gobbles good in the tree. Flies down and is never heard again. How can I kill him?

10:00-2:00. He will leave those hens eventually.

that will work also....

I have also heard methods such as

*throwing a rock at it from 50 yards away (works on rabbits)
*throwing a 3 foot piece of wood at it while it is on a football field (apparently that will result in death too)

Oh and it may be an old, wise bird. Call less than what you are calling. You don't have to repeatedly call at them - be patient and he will eventually come check you out.

Find the clearing he is in with the hens. Around mid day he'll leave the hens to eat and visit his dusting area. That's when you pop him

Eventually the hens will spend time on the nest. Find where he's hanging out when they do and wait him out...

Find where they are going.. If they are going to a field to feed and strut just set up on the edge of the field to where you think they hang out closest...

If the hens dont bring him by you, just wait it out and watch them til around noonish.. He'll get come off of them around then. Watch where he is going, cut him off.. Talk dirty to him and he should come your way..

If not in a field, just wait it out and dont call too much just some clucking and purr'ing.. that means the hen is happy and feeding, he'll get curious and check it out.

I had 4 or 5 do the same damn thing this morning.

And my new diaphragm calls must have the gay, because all I called in was lesbo hens. They weren't vocal at all this morning.
