That's why you use a rubber band.

Guides have GOT to be taking full advantage of using drones with cameras for locating & tracking schools of fish, right?

Hell, I can only imagine how these also help game hunters on their leases.

really hunting leases are too big to survey with a quad. you get about 15 mins on average of flight time.

I have seen hunters fly through their land with r/c airplanes though. At night, looking for hogs.

I've been looking at that particular drone they are using for a year now, it's got like a mile range. I can think of SOOO many uses in the outdoors, but i just can't make myself pull the trigger on a $1000 toy that i'd probably crash into a tree.

I would love to sit in the deer stand and be able to scope out the entire deer lease.

How does that work?

Rubber bands come in different tensile strengths. If the clip doesn't release, the band will break, saving you an outrigger/drone. Put the rubber band between the clip and line.

I was with a guy turkey hunting on a 1000 ac tract and it was broken up into lots of smaller fields with creek bottoms separating the fields. He put the drone up and he pinpointed exactly where the turkeys were at that time.
