Trout at the Lake Pontchartrain trestle bridges are there!

Trout at the Lake Pontchartrain trestle bridges are there! Live shrimp on the bottom. Threw back about 10 and missed a few big ones. Most were 15 to 17 inches and fat. Cast and hang on! This was our trip on 4/17.

Glad to hear and see that. We had a really nice trip last Fri. with the same type of trout. Filled an ice chest before 9:30.

May have to launch Friday night and camp out on the boat with the amount of people that will be out there

we did the same on Causeway and Trestles last week on artificial. The artificial bite was insane. Not sure why you're wasting money on shrimp. Nice haul BTW

Beautiful mess of fish right there.
But those filets look kind of butchered up. I find an electric knife works much better.

Do you fish from the North Shore side or the south shore? Never fished out there before. I assume Carolina rig?? Wheres the best place for bait/launch?

you can run the lake openly? and where are some good launching places?
