I've been looking for a low power variable 1-4 scope and had my eyes set on the Leupold VX-R Patrol until I did enough research and came across this one as another option. It is about $150 more than the Leupold, but to me seems worth it. Do any of you guys have this scope or have used it in the past? Thoughts? Trijicon Accupower specs

Nice scope, but that 31hr battery life is absolutely unacceptable in today's market.

What I like about the Leupold VX-R Patrol is that it has an auto on/off feature for the reticle illumination. It will automatically turn off after 5 minutes of no activity and then will come on automatically once the gun is moved. It automatically defaults to the last brightness setting. Also another thing to note, it's been reported that the 31 hour battery life was Trijicon just being overly cautious. In a review I read, one guy left it on for 3 days straight (72 hours) at max brightness and it was still just as bright.
