How many times can you change the date and repost this pic and say it is from another location. I think its the third time I have seen it this season alone!
Metadata of a pic can be changed in about one minute FYI.
And the LDWF has not one single case ever!!! of a cougar, puma, panther sighting that was ever confirmed, that it was not ruled out as being a released, escaped pet or a dumped from out of state case like a couple from last year. That is a fact. Not one. EVER.

LDWF has documented several occurrences since 2002. The first cougar sighting was in 2002 by an employee at Lake Fausse Point State Park. That sighting was later confirmed with DNA analysis from scat found at the site. Three trail camera photos were taken of a cougar in Winn, Vernon and Allen parishes in 2008. Subsequently on Nov. 30, 2008, a cougar was shot and killed in a neighborhood by Bossier City Police Department.

The recent sightings of cougars in Louisiana are believed to be young animals dispersing from existing populations. An expanding population in Texas can produce dispersing individual cougars that move into suitable habitat in Louisiana. Young males are known to disperse from their birthplace and travel hundreds of miles seeking their own territories.

Like I said never confirmed that it wasn't an escaped or released pet or a dumped carcass, EVER. When asked the LDWF biologist will tell ya. They also will explain why you just copied and pasted that clause that is released with ever "sighting" as well

They also confirmed one in Vernon parish in 2011. Not sure what I think about OP's picture. I've never seen it before and I can't find it anywhere else on the internet.

The ones that were seen in 2008 are thought to be the same one. It was a juvenile male. Can tell juveniles by light spots under front legs. Was never confirmed as wild.
Fausse pointe also. Never confirmed as wild or captive.

I live in Arkansas not too far from Farmerville. No idea if the pic is real or fake and honestly don't care either way. Cougars are here... I've seen 2 for certain and a 3rd that possibly could have been. Also one was killed in Southeast AR last year near Hermitage. SO ....legit pic or not, they are here.....

I believe they are here and I believe there may be a wild one that comes through occasionally. Skeptical on whether they breed here though
I would venture to guess that 50% of hunters in Louisiana over age 50 say to have seen one Probably every hunter knows someone who has seen one and I would venture to say that of all those sightings 50% were black panthers. There is the problem. They should pop up on game cameras every week if you listen to the average Louisiana hunter

I know you will catch it on here, but there are a couple up that way. I have seen one cross a high line up around Lillie and have seen one off the Bernice Hwy right across from Joe Johnson several times back when they clear cut around the hunting club up there. I liken them to the people up that way who told me I didn't see a gator on Corney a few years ago. Then green jeans pulled out two 8 footers from there.
On a side note, who's colorful rig was that out in front of y'alls new store? I could see that thing from the other side of the lake justabout.

Not a very good comparison. An alligator in north Louisiana is a little more believable than a cougar

Great, then please post those so we can discredit his picture. Or find it online for us. I'm not saying his pic is real or not, but I can't find that pic anywhere else. Since you've seen it three times this season alone, surely you can help us out here.

What does this have to do with his picture? Whether a cougar is wild, released, dumped, etc. if it is there, then a freaking cougar is there. I wouldn't want to cross paths with it no matter how it got there.

I was saying both are wrong, didn't mean to try and equate them to being the exact same ting. Told wrong by people who knew better than me because of what they heard from LDWF, that is what I was equating.

Another photo taken 3/4 of a mile from the first.
That was Josh Gowan. He is stepping up fishing full time on crappie master trail.

I'm not exactly calling bullshite, but what are the chances that this same guy has a cat walk in front of two of his cameras almost a mile apart in less than an hour? If these are legit I'd be concerned that this cat is scouting me out

Not the same guy another member in their club got this picture.

My camera just north of Blanchard picked this up.

Doesn't count since it is probably just an escaped lion. Blanchard WDF says there is no evidence of a native lion around those parts. You're safe.

I'll never understand how someone can post a picture of a computer screen with a picture on it, but not figure out how to post the original picture.
