OB, i got a question. I recently just got a Bluetick pup and im starting to look at tracking collars for when i start taking him to the woods. Ive looked at some Tri-tronics collars cause ive heard good things about them. But damn theyre high. I realize you dont wanna go cheap on a tracking collar so i might just bite the bullet and get one. Are there any other good collars out there. Thoughts?

Tritronics was recently bought out by Garmin. They are making the GPS tracking collars/ shock collars. Are these the tracking collars you are referring too?

They get great reviews, but I have never used one. When I have to replace my Dogtra beeping collars I will go the Astro route. The nice thing is you can add collars to the receiver. The bad thing is I run 3 dogs and will need 3 collars...

Thats what i'll probably go with.... Dang! Those extra collars can add up! What kind of hunting do you do with your dogs?

Tritronics is the way to go. They are expensive but so is a good hunting dog.

I really like Dogtra, and that is what I use, but Tri Tronics is one of the few offering GPS tracking...

Wick you don't know of anyone looking for a GSP. He has papers and I'm willing to give him to someone as long as they can hunt/work with him. My new job isn't allowing me the time to work with him and I don't like him kenneled up all the time.

He comes from a good hunting background. I got him from River Rouge plantation. I'll get some pics and start a new thread later
