We are looking at them for our Ford F150. Thoughts? How noisy on the highway?

I’ve had 2 sets of the open country RT on my truck. I got close to 60k out of each set. I just put a new set of MT’s on a couple weeks ago.

BFG KO2. This is the answer you seek.

I had the Open Country AT2s and got 130000 miles on a 2014 Z71 Denali pickup. Tire dealership said they never saw a set of tires last that long. I rotated every 5000 miles with oil change.
I traded that truck in with a new set of AT2s with about 60000 miles and still lots of life to go.

Had them on my f150 for a while before I sold it. I love them. They are very quiet and lasted a while.

I'm on my third set on a third vehicle. A/T III on all three...maybe A/T II on Jeep. Do have some noise but nothing compared to mud tires. They are the best all around tires I've ever owned...good for road and mud. Only issue is they pick up a lot of rocks in treads if you have a gravel driveway.

2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 100K miles before they were done.

2014 Ford F250 60k miles before they were done.

2017 Toyota Tundra currently at 62k miles and still got life left.

A friend has had AT IIs on his F250 and I believe his old F150. He has the new AT IIIs on his newer F150.

Swears by them.

I am looking at the TOYO RT trail for our JKUR.

Not going to find many people that didn't like their AT3's. I'm buying new rims/tires this week for my truck and can't decide between those, KO2's, and Ridge Grapplers. Had all three and liked them all.

I must be the worst driver in the world for tires. F150 driver since 1988 averaging 45,000 a year. Rotate and balance regularly. Never had a tire last more than 60-65K. Bridgestone, continental, BFG, Firestone, Pirelli, Toyo.

I wish these guys that drive on grass and post “got 75,000 on this set and still have the paper labels on them” would post their tire life secrets.

Cynical me. Happy motoring.

On our second set for our 4Runner. We got probably 55K miles out of them, but I’m bad at remembering to rotate.
They’re a bit too noisy for me. I’ll probably go with Falken Wildpeaks for the next set. Not as popular as the KO2s or Toyos, but they have great specs and a lot of good reviews. I had them on a Tacoma and liked them.

The RT’s are my favorite tire. Got 60ish on my f250. They were on national back order the last time I needed tires so had to go with something else. About to go back to the RT’s. Way less road noise than mud grips

Best tire I've ever bought. Can't even tell the road noise.

That's what's on my Tundra right now. Really nice tire and definitely quiet, but just don't have an aggressive enough look to me.

Had the R/T for a while and really liked them. Only complaint was that they were a little loud and rode pretty rough at the end but that was likely due to wear. Just switched to BFH KO2 and love them so far

6 years ago I put toyo a/t II on my excursion. At the time I wanted bigger wheels and tires but couldn’t decide on what I wanted. I put the Toyos on with the idea that I’d go bigger when I replaced that set.

Sold my excursion earlier this year with the same tires. Never got to go bigger. I rotate every oil change and made sure they were properly inflated.
