They don't all weigh the same, but I'd pull a D3 for sure. Not every day, but I'd do it. Hell, I pulled a D6N LGP with my F250 a few times. Just gotta know what you're doing when towing that much overweight (and when loading it). 10k on a Tundra is not overweight IMHO

I agree but its more of a liability issue than anything else.If you have an accident and are overloaded your insurance likely will not cover you.Thats all Im saying.

Remind me to not buy a used truck from you.

I wouldn't have bought my last truck either. Dude actually texted me after 5 months of driving around rolling coal if he needs a DPF. Either way, he screwed me on the deal, so he got what he deserved. Except for the engine, everything was in tip top shape

Eta: Don't think that I actually looked up the letters weights. I worked at CAT and sort of knew them. IIRC, a D3 weighs around 18k, D5 around 25k, D6K 28k, D6N 35k, and D6T 45k if I had to guess. The big boy D11 was like 250k.

Had a logger with an old D10, and that thing was ginormous

car trailer

Man, some of those are really lightweight.

I'd double check the load rating on that trailer.

Hammond has some good used ones, but they are still kinda expensive. Check out auctions

Yup, if the trailer has 5 or 6 lug rims it's probably in the 7K range. A bobcat will max it out....

OP brings his FIL's car trailer back, folded up in the middle.

Not a good day.

Yeah, I don't think I'm going to risk it. I need to find someone with a hookup on a bobcat or a tractor. I have someone bringing in two loads of fill dirt and I am going to need a way to spread it.

I live in McComb. If you were closer I'd bring my tractor and do it for you.

IIRC:

5 lug = 3500lb axles
6 lug = 5500lb
8 lug = 10,000lb
10 lug = 20,000lb

That's a dirty rule I use so I don't have to get down and look at them

7000 lb capacity minus the weight of the trailer is what that trailer is rated to carry.... More than likely

Did you check to see how much the drop-off/pick-up rate would be?
