Kill the cats and he will just get more cats. The rescue group will shut him down. Cat problem solved.
FTR, no problem with greasing the cats, just don't think its a long term solution.

I'm pretty sure "Fred" has created the problem with a couple of his cats breeding out of control so I'm going to trap them and not let him know about it.
I'm not dealing with "Fred" cause it could get ugly and he's not someone I would want want to upset. He has 2 live in son's that are a lot like their o'l man and in there mid 30's so if they decided to bury me under their junk shed I'm sure they could get the jump on me some how.

You can always use a trashcan full of water to eliminate the problem once trapped.
If it was my house, I would trap and drop off at animal control daily.
