Planning on renting a cabin somewhere on Toledo bend next year. I have young kids, youngest will be 3 at that time next year.
I plan on bringing my boat. Besides fishing, what other activities are available? Maybe a beach, splash pad, Swimming pool etc. Inplan on bringing the oldest fishing in the morning, but my wife wants other activities for my youngest while we are fishing? It looks like we are probably staying around mid lake.

get your ol'lady a fishin pole and tell her to start practicing. they roll up the sidewalks around dark up there, and there's not much to do except fish. that's the bueaty of the place.

maybe somebody else knows more, I've never seen and 'trendy' stuff around there. good luck!!

Pirates cove has a kids water play area and beach, cabins are 5 yards from it. Also have a band and DJ on the weekends with a bar area at night.

Louisiana side id second Pirates with new renovations its solid, South Toledo Bend state park, as well as Big Bass Marina. If money isn't a big deal Cypress Bend Resort is good.

Texas side Id go Fin and Feather

Lol! She enjoys fishing, but the little kids don’t have the patience yet. Usually me and my oldest go fishing and she stays behind. So, she’s curious about things to take the little ones busy for a few hours.

you can setup a guide trip with living the dream either sacalait or bass, but they have a first class place. they can take you cliff jumping, they have a zip line and a little beach type setup. Lots of activities that normally you wouldn't have.

Really not much to do in toledo but fish and eat mexican food.

Pirates Cove
Cypress Bend
Wildwood

Get in the boat and go find a sandy bank. It is like a private beach.

Wildwood resort is nice, I’ve stayed there a time or two. They have cabins, pools, a deck to fish off of and about 4 ponds to fish that you can walk to. They have a website you can check out.

Second all of these

ETA: Also, the north state park has a pool. Not sure if the south state park has one. I know most of the state parks in LA usually have playgrounds, but I’m not sure if either park has them.

Tranquility Bay resort..off of Hwy 1215..or Wildwood resort..both midlake..both have swimming pools..
Tranquility Bay is less expensive and has great boat launch..Wildwood more high end..nicer cabins and lodges for sure.
Both within easy driving distance of Toledo Town..
