Longtime editor/writer of LA Sportsman. I think he may even be the owner now?

Best outdoors writer that paper has had in awhile. Glad to have actual
Outdoors articles than that liberal bullshite that bob Marshall would constantly trowel out. The only complaint I have is the over use of alliteration.

He's a local boy. Born and reared in Metairie, fished SELA his whole life, worked for LA Sportsman in Boutte for a long time as editor, then moved to the northshore not long ago and went to work for NOLA/Time Pic. I've fished with him a bunch over the years, good guy knows his stuff. I think Delacroix has been his default place to go over the years.

etc. Just wondering where he's originally from. Doesn't seem too popular in some of the fishing areas in the state.

Care to explain?

I think the skepticism surrounding outdoor writers in general concerns their willingness to divulge very specific fishing spots.

Statement doesn't reflect my opinion about it one way or the other.

How long has he been on Northshore? LA Sportsman is based in Boutte/Luling. Maybe he recently moved?

I like some of his reports. My only knock on him is the same damn guys are posted over and over again. When I see a familiar face again on a new report, I don't read it. I've never met Ty Hibbs. I've fished next to him in another boat before. I've seen him at IFA tournaments. Seems like a nice guy, but damn Todd pick some new faces.

This. He's an open book of information and knowledge, but he gives away any and every fishing spot.

speaking of Ty Hibbs and the Mason thing, anyone know what happened with those fake bands he shot and that super "rare" teal and him hunting on private property? Did Todd go back and write a story about any of that too or revise his old one?

I wonder how that Kevin Ford guy got a show. In his early episodes, he looked like he could barely bait a hook.
