Thanks. Took a lot of work but it was fun. Hated to see it look so bad so long. It's soaking up this oil much faster than expected. Wood was pretty dry.


Check out the saw marks on underside. We are estimating a 5' dia saw blade [/URL][/img]

Looks great man. I actually like the saw marks side haha. I did a coffee table with pecky cypress a couple months ago. Coated it with a casting poxy. I was a chore, but it helped keep the color of the wood and gave it a cool gloss.

Applied a second coat at 1 am. Third coat this morning. Already dry. Pretty excited to see her reaction. She always commented how much she wanted one like it. I had been hauling it around the country for years with my moves. Only really had it in hallways for sitting on while putting on my boots or shoes. Crazy how much depth it has now. Doesn't even look flat on top anymore from certain angles.
