For those of you that have started using electric bikes, has it been worth the investment? As far as still being able to use in muddy areas? Being more quiet going and coming from the stand? I currently have a UTV, but I’m thinking about investing in an electric bike. Maybe sooner, rather than later.

They’re great on refuges to travel down old, faint logging roads.

I love mine. It does just fine in mud. I’ve had to put my feet down a couple times when it slipped a bit, but it made it through.

I also made it through water just up to the seat post. I misjudged the depth of the water that overcame the trail. It’s been a great investment.

I only find them useful on WMA's when going off the improved roads down a trail.

They really are great in the woods. I like following the fluorescent flagging tape through the woods on mine. That usually leads you to some great spots. The bonus is if there’s a stand already in place. If it’s on public land, it’s a public stand!

I have one for my son that is a beast by Leise Motors.

Now I’m in the market for one that allows me to get around camp and folds up for putting in my truck bed.
My mobility handicap is cutting into my ability to get back-and-forth to places when we’re on hunting trips and fishing trips so hopefully whatever I purchase gives me some more independence

Great in the Midwest when hunting around big fields.

I hunt public land in MS and have a Himiway. I love it especially getting 3 miles down a gated road at 5:30am in about 5min. Or coming out at 11am and not breaking a sweat. My only suggestion is to get a step thru model, especially if you’ll have a climber strapped on the back rack.

They're great. I used to have to work extremely hard hiking a mile in to get away from the lazy slobs on the WMA.

Problem is that I'm starting to see those slobs also getting bikes and joining me back there.

I go to the Midwest every year and this year walking out of the woods uphill I told myself I’ll have an e-bike for next year. I ordered one from stealth hunting e-bikes. It’s getting built this week. The guy gears them way down so they only go 14-15 mph, but they’re supposed to climb hills really well.
Even though I bought one, I wish they weren’t a thing. There’s almost no way to get away from other hunters now. We were looking at the map of the place we hunted and my cousin, who has hunted there before, pointed to a spot and said “this is the hardest spot to get to on this whole place”. About a 2 mile walk, down a ridge, through a creek then back up another ridge. I made the walk and when I got up on the ridge there were 2 other hunters. I asked how they got there, and they said “oh we just rode our e-bikes to the bottom of the ridge and walked up”. So I ordered mine after that. If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em I guess.

I second the Step-Thru model. I recently purchased one myself and love it so far. It works great if not using in a bunch of mud.

This is the biggest issue. Now everyone gets to go deep into the woods.
