Earlier the Lafayette airport was reporting 25 mph gusting to 37 mph.

WTF is going on?

Been like it all day here in Houston. It was demoralizing trying to accomplish anything outside. Washed one car and said eff it to the other. Was literally blowing water out of the bucket. Chasing rags and sponges down the street.

Was 37 gusting to 45 in New Orleans today. It's probably a steady 30-35 now

It's called a cold front. We haven't had many this year so I understand your lack of familiarity with its effects. Didn't get windy here till late this afternoon.

Just looked at a weather map. Big low pressure over Tennessee causing all this shite.

My neighbor in Houston has a Ruby Red Grapefruit Tree that really didn't take well to our recent freeze. Rats love the fruit if it falls. I went out back to pull everything off of my side that I could because I knew we had a gale warning for today. Frickin wind blows just like predicted and 100/200 fall in my yard despite my efforts. They're so ripe and ready to burst that they explode if they hit the ground. Such a waste, last year there were hardly any but this year there's more than the entire neighborhood could use. So yes, the wind has been howling all day...

I've been inside my house all day and I've heard the wind whistling like I've never heard before. Dogs were scared to go outside. Its blowing.
