I'm looking for a topper, camper shell for my truck. I've never had one. What brands are recommended? Thanks in advance

I have an ARE and like it, I take mine off an on all the time. I have a gooseneck hitch so still like being able to use my truck as a truck but the top is good for trips where I don't want to put stuff in the cab and it still be secure. 2 people and I can have it off and on in a couple minutes.

I had an ARE and I will get another. Mine had frameless glass, hidden hinges, led lighting, flip down front window. Loved it.

This made me laugh. I used to be embarrassed my dad had a campershell on his truck but now that I'm older they do seem practical. Still ugly as hell, but practical.

I had an ARE on my previous truck. It liked it a lot. It was the custom one painted color matched to my truck. It lowered my MPG by a few miles per gallon. I was surprised.

I think it depends on what style you get, some of them are pretty sharp looking though. Super practical, I'm in the process of building mine out with a roof rack, lighting, interior rod holders and plan to camp and fish out of it.

There's a big difference between something like this....

And something like this...

that overhead storage looks like the best thing since sliced bread. I will never own another truck without a topper.
