I have had a camp on Belle River for almost 15 years now. My dad and I have the catfish, bass, and bream figured out. We are looking for some advice in the Verret/Belle River/Spillway/Duck lake areas for Sacalait catching before our maiden voyage. Any advice welcomed and appreciated!

This, but you can still most likely find them in deeper waters this time of year. They will be much harder to catch and not as fun, IMO.

Start fishing for them in March, wear that arse out in April, and remember the good times as it slows to a crawl in May.

my favorite way to catch them there is with a jig on the bottom (no stopper) on fallen brush tops that are way out...+1 if you can find a little moving water
