Hell, with those Buffalo Bore .357s, that Marlin is like a 30-30 out to 100 yards. It beats the .30 carbine to hell and back.

...But yeah, I went with 'truck gun' instead.

I'm gonna check gunbroker and see what they're selling for.

You'll be surprised how expensive they are. As I recall, a lot of them had feeding problems. If the feeding problems were fixed, I bet those carbines would be a good seller today.

Ruger used to make pistol-caliber carbines. Same ammo, same mag as the pistol, but I always thought they were overpriced.

I shot a dude's Ruger 44 mag carbine at the range recently. I think it had the same M1 action but that gun was really smooth.

I agree with Downshift and think a carbine or lever gun in 44 mag is one hell of a "brush gun."

I've also shot an M1 carbine some and she was a sweetheart. Even though the ball round isn't great for people stopping, I would have no problem defending my home with the new Hornady Critical Defense in 30 Carbine. I bet it takes this thing to a new level.

Just listen to Hickock45 laugh as he shoots his Colt 9mm and tell me it doesn't have value.

AR-15 9mm
