How often do you change out the sugar water?

This is the recommended changing time, but I change less frequently.

I don't think it's necessary to change that much. Weekly in the middle of summer is probably sufficient.

I got to reading a thread about hummingbird decoys I found.

I did find it interesting that one person commented that they hang red ribbons to attract.

Do you maintain all summer?

yes

at the peak it is a near daily clean and refill process

I'll run 3 feeders during the peak and at times can get 20+ birds at each feeder.

I'll put 1 feeder out this weekend and work up from there.

They would rather chase each other off than feed themselves.

Alright guys, enjoy your weekend. I'm going to go find me some geraniums to plant this weekend hopefully, and maybe drink a few beers watching for hummers.

Near Central High School
Put 2 of 8 feeders out about 2 weeks ago, changed the water this morning & not long after 1 showed up, drank & left
We were having a BBQ so I'm not sure if all the activity is why he didn't hang around

I'm hoping more will start showing up with the warm weather coming
