Serious question
Waiting for serious question. All I read/saw was: Why all the need for mags? I got two with the gun.

I joined the Glock club this week with the purchase of a new 17 9mm. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I was scoping out Academy the other morning for ammo and they actually had a gun salesman behind the counter unoccupied and boom (literally), I added a weapon to my collection.
I shot 100 rounds through it this morning and my hand was black with powder residue. Is this normal for a Glock? My other pistols don't do this (Sig, Karr, or Browning).
The 17 gets a good review, especially for the price, but I think I like the feel of my other pistols better.

I have a Gen 3.
I have no experience with a Gen 4.

I think the gen 3 only comes with 2 mags. Gen 4 comes with 3.

The powder residue was not from the ammo you were using?
Anyway, congrats on the new pistol. I hope it brings you many restful nights.

Remington
IDK. I shoot often and I know it's normal to get some powder residue on your hands, but it was more than normal. Normal being when I shoot my Sig or Karr. It could just be the ammo.
