Just get this bad boy and keep your whole place looking like a golf course

Yep plus it is way more awesome.

Cutting 84 acres in a day's work just seems badass.

I'm sure it's 84 acres of astro turf laid over a nascar track.

Get a 150hp tractor with a 15' batwing and you can cut 80 acres of briars and popcorn trees in a day.

That's why I said to keep it looking like a golf course.

You just need to be prepared to cut it every weekend...duh.

You could do that, put 15 extremely expensive purebred angus heifers on it, and keep that bastard looking like the 18th green.

No lie there is a house here in Lake Chuck that a guy built a 9 hole par 3 course in his backyard. Some of the holes share fairways and such but he keeps that thing cut like a professional course by himself. Bastard has to be retired and have some sweet equipment.

Those fast zero turns wont cut fast at all unless you keep up. I have a Dixie chopper which mows pretty fast, if you mow each week. If grass gets up a little bit, you have to go full throttle but half as fast.

And only good for smooth groomed stuff.

Never ran a scag, but this chopper is about 7 yrs old and still runs great, had no real problems since new, except normal stuff.

I hear there are some other good brands out there, but until this one is worn out, I'm sticking with it.

I was just fricking with you. Scag is supposed to be top of the line now days and took the spot from Dixie.

The answer will depend on what your cutting, how fast you want to cut it and if you want/ need medium or heavy duty cutter.

If you cutting grazed pasture ground three times a year a 60 hp will do fine but you gonna be creeping even at 2k rpms. If you have a problem with smutgrass, like most of us do in this area, then your gear box will not hold up a year on that little tractor.

Pay a man with a bigger rig for first cutting, release the heifers, spray it with Grazon P+D about June, clip it in July, and clip in September.

I can't afford cattle at these prices although I did get an offer for 12 bucking bred heifers for 700 a piece.

Land has been heavily grazed for 9-10 years. Gonna give it a rest for a while. Get fences and pond levees back right and just keep the fields maintained
